Case Study: Whole Foods Fridge Move

Overview Three major grocery store locations serviced Refrigeration systems for freezer, deli, produce, hot bar, and other areas Warehousing Final Mile Delivery OS&E relocation Long-distance delivery Our role The Armstrong Company’s Raleigh agency provided warehousing and delivery for three separate major grocery store locations in and around Raleigh, North Carolina. These projects entailed loading into trucks, transporting and warehousing more than 40 refrigeration systems per store location, while the grocery chain was undergoing major renovations. Once renovations were complete, Armstrong’s team retrieved the systems from its warehouse storage and delivered them to the designated stores. Lauderdale team provided warehousing, delivery, and FF&E and OS&E installation services for a premier, east coast luxury resort. The project included all guest rooms, public areas, and exterior amenity areas on the property. Project Challenges Due to the historic nature of the renovated property, the installation site consisted of antique wood flooring and trusses, salvaged wood, bricks, doors, windows, and glass, requiring highly trained and experienced team members. Case Study: University Laboratory Specimen Relocation

Overview University of Alabama Biology laboratory Cross-campus move 5,000 fish Early start time Temperature-monitored Zero casualties Our Role Armstrong’s Birmingham team provided laboratory specimen relocation services on the campus of the University of Alabama. The project included relocating 5,000 fish from the university’s biology building to Nott Hall. Armstrong’s move team began the move at 5AM, due to the specimens’ temperature regulations. Our Challenges Due to the fish’s biological composition, they would either change genders or die if the temperature reached over 80 degrees. Armstrong’s move team quickly adapted to the unique nature of the move by adjusting the relocation’s start time and providing adequate manpower and move materials.
