Within 24 Hours after you initiate your UAB move, your Armstrong Move Coordinator will contact you to discuss the details of your move and will schedule a pre-move survey. Generally, the survey is performed by one of our 900+ Authorized United Van Lines Agents around the globe; however, if you have a household goods, office, and sensitive laboratory move, our Armstrong team will personally travel to your origin city and perform the pre-move survey.
The results of the pre-move survey will determine the scope & size of your move. Once completed, your Armstrong Move Coordinator can assist in your planning and move date selection.
A packet can be e-mailed to you containing a pre-planned moving guide and a “Your Rights and Responsibilities” booklet. If you have any questions or want more information please do not hesitate to call and we will respond immediately.

Armstrong & United Van Lines Value-Added Features
Our team can make arrangements for your pet travel if required. Generally, this engagement is not covered under the UAB Moving Policy and payment for this service would be your responsibility.
The UAB Moving Policy does not provide Finishing Touch Services (put-away service). If you would like a total solution Settling-In/Finishing Touch Service, our team can arrange this added-value feature at your expense.
Occasionally during a move, your personal effects may experience some bumps and bruises along the way. The first step in resolving your claim is to notify your Armstrong Move Coordinator about the event. Your coordinator will discuss the United Van Lines claim procedures with you in detail, and every effort will be made to resolve your claim factually and expeditiously.
Great news! UAB provides you with the VERY BEST protection available…Full Value Coverage. Under your UAB protection plan, if your articles are lost or damaged while in United’s care, they will either be repaired or replaced with like items, or a cash settlement will be made for the current market replacement value regardless of the age of the item.
