The Armstrong Company Acquires Portion of Fry-Wagner Moving and Storage

Acquisition allows Armstrong to expand into Kansas City, providing relocation and transportation services for area businesses and residents.

MEMPHIS, Tenn., August 1, 2025 – The Armstrong Company, a global moving and supply chain company, today announced the acquisition of Fry-Wagner Moving and Storage’s Kansas City, Missouri operations. Fry-Wagner is a fourth-generation, family-owned and operated full-service relocation and logistics company founded in St. Louis, Missouri. President Larry Fry sold Fry-Wagner’s Kansas City operations to Armstrong to focus his efforts solely on its St. Louis operations. Earl Kawaoka, who has served at Fry-Wagner for 27 years, will serve as president of Armstrong’s Kansas City operations.

Fry-Wagner’s team members in Kansas City will continue to serve under Armstrong. The transaction secures Armstrong’s entrance into a new market, expanding its geographic footprint and operational presence to a total of 34 markets in the U.S. With Armstrong’s depth of services, the deal provides Fry-Wagner’s clients additional offerings to further support their needs, including supply chain solutions, global relocation and final-mile delivery.
